Oct .06: USA – LISBON (Portugal)

Oct 07: LISBON – FATIMA

On arrival, if time allows, enjoy a panoramic drive through the new and old parts of Lisbon including Belem Tower, Monument of the Discoveries, Jeronimo’s Monastery, and the birthplace of the beloved St. Anthony. Continue to Fatima, one of the most famous Marian shrines in the world for a visit to the Sanctuary. Check-in to your hotel close to the shrine area. You may join the Candlelight Procession after dinner.

Oct 08: FATIMA – SANTIAGO DE COMPOSTELA (SPAIN)

Enjoy a buffet breakfast at the hotel. A guided tour will include the Capelinha (Apparition Chapel), the Basilica which contains the tombs of the 3 visionaries, Bl. Jacinta, Bl. Francisco and Sr. Lucia, their homes, and important sites where the apparitions of the Angel and Our Lady took place.In the afternoon, leave for Santiago de Compostela (Spain)

Oct 09: SANTIAGO DE COMPOSTELA – BURGOS

Breakfast at the hotel. Visit the Plaza del Obradeiro which has important monuments, including the Cathedral of St. James. Its current Baroque facade gives way to a Romanesque doorway from the original building, the Portico de Gloria, created by master Mateo in the 12th century, Archbishop’s Palace and Rajoy Palace. Walk the oldest streets of the city which date from the 12th century – Ruas Franco, Vilar and Nova. Continue to the city of Burgos. Dinner and overnight.

Oct 10: BURGOS – MADRID – MILAN (ITALY)

Breakfast. Visit the Cathedral of Burgos, built in 1221 AD and dedicated to Virgin Mary.
Continue by bus the airport of Madrid and board your flight to Milan – Italy. Arrival and meet your
Italian tour escort. Transfer to your hotel. Dinner and overnight.

Oct 11:MILAN – VENICE

Breakfast at the hotel and start our visit to Milan by the famous Cathedral of the Duomo, built at the end of the fourteenth century on the site of the Forth century church dedicated to St. Thecla. An orientation tour will take us through the major streets and monuments of Milan before heading to Venice. Arrive at Venice, dinner and overnight at the hotel.

Oct 12: VENICE - FLORENCE

Breakfast at the hotel. We start our day by taking a boat ride through the Canal of this unique city built over more than 100 small islands to the Piazza of St. Mark to visit the Basilica dedicated to the Apostle, then stroll through the picturesque streets of the city for shopping. Continue our trip to the beautiful city of Florence. Arrive to our hotel. Dinner and overnight.

Oct 13: FLORENCE

Breakfast and start our visit with a local guide to the historic center of the city: the Duomo Square with the Baptistery, the interior of the Cathedral of St. Mary of the Flower, the belfry of Giotto. Walk till the Old Bridge (Ponte Vecchio) and the Square of Santa Cruz (Holy Cross) with the Franciscan Church, famous for the paintings of Michael Angelo, Galileo.etc. In the afternoon, visit the Academy to admire Michael Angelo’s DAVID and the market of St. Lawrence for shopping. Dinner and overnight.

Oct 14: FLORENCE – PISA – ROME

Breakfast and leave for Pisa to visit its famous leaning tower. Continue to Florence,the birthplace of the Renaissance and called the Athens of Middle Ages. It was declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO in 1982. The city is noted for its culture, Renaissance art and architecture and monuments. Dinner and overnight at the hotel.

Oct 15: ROME – THE VATICAN MUSEUMS – BASILICA OF ST. PETER

Buffet breakfast. Meet with your local guide to begin a tour to the Vatican Museums starting by Pigna Square, the Galleries of Roman Busts, the Candelabra, the Tapestries, and the World Map Gallery. Then to the Immaculate Room, the Sistine Chapel with the Universal Judgment of Michael Angelo, the interiors of the Basilica of St. Peter with the statue of LA

Oct. 16: ROME: THE PAPAL AUDIENCE – OLD AND CLASSICAL ROME

Breakfast at the hotel. In the morning transfer to St. Peter’s Square to participate to the Papal Audience. In the afternoon, we’ll explore the ancient and classical Rome passing by the Coliseum, the Roman Arena Theater. Then to Vittorio Emmanuele Memorial Monument. Walk through the ancient streets to the Piazza Spagna (Square of Spain), the Spanish Steps, the Trevi Fountain, the Pantheon and many other monuments and squares. Dinner and overnight.

Oct. 17: ROME – SAN GIOVANNI ROTONDO

Breakfast and leave for San Giovanni Rotondo, the city where Padre Pio have lived for almost 52 years till his death. Arrive to your hotel. Dinner and overnight.

Breakfast and start our visit to the modern sanctuary where are preserved the rests and relics of the Saint. Then we travel to Pietrelcina, the birthplace of Padre Pío for a visit to the church of dedicated to the Saint. Continue our trip to Rome. Arrive to our hotel. Dinner and overnight.
