ITINERARY

1 Day 01: USA – BARCELONA

2 Day 02: BARCELONA

Arrive at the Prat International Airport. Meet and transfer to you hotel. Dinner and overnight.

3 Day 03: BARCELONA

Breakfast. Meet your local guide and escort and start the visit to the Abbey of Our Lady of Montserrat, a Benedictine monastery founded in the 10th. century and still in function with more than 150 monks. Continue then for a panoramic city tour of the Catalonian capital passing through its major monuments. Visit the famous Basilica of the Holy Family (Sagrada Familia), built at the end of the 19th. century and designed by the architect Antonio Gaudi.

In has been proclaimed by the UNESCO as World Heritage Site. In 2010 Pope Benedict XVI consecrated it and proclaimed it as Minor Basilica. Return to your hotel. Dinner and overnight.

4 Day 04: BARCELONA – ZARAGOZA

Breakfast. Leave by coach to Zaragoza. Arrive to your hotel for check in.

In the afternoon, visit the Cathedral-Basilica of our Lady of the Pillar, considered as the oldest Sanctuary in Europe dedicated to Virgin Mary and linked to St. James the Great who spread Christianity in the Iberian Peninsula. Walk through the ancient quarter of this beautiful city.
Dinner and overnight.

5 Day 05: ZARAGOZA – MADRID

Breakfast. Leave by coach to Madrid. Check in to your hotel.

In the afternoon we’ll do a panoramic city tour of the Spanish Capital: Plaza de España, Orient Palace, the Opera, Plaza Mayor, the Prado Museum, the Santiago Bernabeu Stadium….etc.
Dinner and overnight.

6 Day 06: MADRID – TOLEDO – MADRID

Breakfast and leave by coach to Toledo, known as the imperial capital and the city of Christian, Moslem and Jewish religious and cultural co-existence during the Middle Ages. It is also the birthplace of many famous politicians and painters, especially El Greco. Visit the Cathedral and the Synagogue of St. Mary the White. Walk through its old and picturesque streets. Return to Madrid. Afternoon at leisure for rest and shopping. Dinner and overnight.

7 Day 07: MADRID – ARANJUEZ – CORDOBA

Breakfast. Leave by coach southward to Cordoba in the Region of Andalusia. Stop at the Royal Palace of Aranjuez, residence of the King of Spain and the royal family. Arrive to Cordoba late afternoon. Check in to your hotel. Dinner and overnight.

8 Day 08: CORDOBA – GRANADA

Breakfast. Visit the old quarter of the city of Cordoba, capital of the Region, the famous Mosque built in the 8th century, the Flowers Street, the Jewish Quarter, and the Synagogue. In the afternoon, we will leave to Granada at the footsteps of Sierra Nevada. Check in to your hotel. Dinner and overnight.

9 Day 09: GRANADA

Breakfast. Visit the well-known Alhambra Palace, built in the 13th century over the remains of an ancient roman fortress. It is unique for its architectural Moorish designs and the several patios and fountains. Visit also the Generalife Palace, the summer residence of the Moorish emirs. Return to your hotel. Dinner and overnight.

10 Day 10: GRANADA – MADRID

Breakfast. Leave back by coach to Madrid. Check in to you hotel. Dinner and overnight

11 Day 11: MADRID – USA

Breakfast. Transfer to Madrid-Barajas airport and board your flight back to the USA.
