March 16: USA – AMMAN

Arrive at Amman international airport, meet and transfer to your hotel overnight

March 18: AMMAN – JERASH – TIBERIAS

Breakfast, leave to Jerash (Gerasa), the well-preserved Greco-Roman city. Enter through the Arch of Hadrian and walk through oval plaza and the main streets to visit many temples, the Theater and the remains of several Byzantine churches. Transfer to Allenby crossing bridge. Meet with your Holy Land Guide and transfer to your hotel in Tiberias, dinner and overnight.

March 19: CANA OF GALILEE – NAZARETH – MOUNT CARMEL - MUHRAQA

After breakfast, leave for Cana of Galilee: the place of the first miracle of Jesus. Continue to Nazareth and start a walking tour from Mary’s Fountain till the Basilica of the Annunciation for a visit to Mary’s House, the Upper Basilica, the Museum and the Church of the Holy Family.

In the afternoon, leave to Mount Carmel, to the Monastery of Muhraqa where Prophet Elija challenged the false priests of Baal. We will enjoy a panoramic view of the biblical Jezreel Valley. Continue to Haifa, a major port on the Mediterranean Sea. We will visit the cave where Prophet Elija had a refuge from queen Jezabel and enjoy a view of the Port. Return to our hotel in Tiberias. Dinner
and overnight.

March 20: GOLAN HEIGHTS – CAESAREA OF PHILIPPI - THE SEA OF GALILEE

After breakfast, leave to the Golan Heights for a visit to Banias, the site where Caesarea of Philippi was located. It was the capital of Upper Galilee and where Jesus confirmed Peter as the Head of the Church for the first time. Back to Tiberias and start our visits to the most important places around the Sea of Galilee: Magdala, hometown of St. Mary Magdalene for a visit to the ruins, highlighting the Synagogue, the paved streets and the rests of some of the houses. Continue to Mount of Beatitudes to recall the Sermon of the Mountain. Continue to Tabgha (Heptapegon) for a visit to the Church of the Multiplication of Fish and Loaves, admiring the well conserved Byzantine mosaic from the fifth century. Then visit the small chapel of the Primacy of St. Peter before heading to Capernaum, the Town of Jesus for a detailed visit of its ruins: the remains of the House of Peter, the “Insula Sacra” and the White Synagogue. Then, you will experience a boat ride crossing along the Sea of Galilee. Return to our hotel in Tiberias. Dinner and overnight.

March 21: MOUNT TABOR– JORDAN RIVER – JERICHO - QUMRAN – DEAD SEA – BETHLEHEM

Breakfast and ascend to Mount Tabor and visit the Basilica of the Transfiguration, built of on the ruins of two earlier sanctuaries: Byzantine and Crusader. Descend and leave through the Jordan Valley and travel south to River Jordan for a renewal of the baptismal vows. Enter Jericho, the oldest city in the world and visit Tel El Sultan, the site of biblical Jericho and view Mount of Temptation. Continue to Qumran to visit the ruins of the Essenes Monastery and view the Caves of the Scrolls. Transfer then to the Dead Sea for a possible bath in its salty waters. In the afternoon, drive through the Judaean Desert, passing by the Good Samaritan Inn to Jerusalem for a first contact with the Holy City from the top of Mount Scopus. Arrive to your selected hotel in Bethlehem for dinner and overnight

March 22: BETHLEHEM – EIN KAREM AND NEW CITY OF JERUSALEM

Breakfast and start our visit to the Church of the Nativity with the Birth Grotto, the Manger, the Chapels of St. Joseph and St. Jerome and the Basilica of St. Catherine. Leave then to the Shepherd Field to visit its natural caves and the rests of the byzantine monasteries.
In the afternoon, depart to the new city of Jerusalem passing through the Parliament and the Hebrew University. Arrive to Ein Karem and visit the Churches of the Visitation and the Birth of St. John the Baptist. Back to your hotel for dinner and overnight.

March 23: MOUNT OF OLIVES AND MOUNT ZION

After breakfast, drive to Mount of Olives for a visit to the Ascension Chapel and then to Pater Noster Church. Walk down to the small Chapel of Dominus Flevit and enjoy a panoramic view of the Holy City with all its major shrines. Continue to the Garden of Gethsemane for a visit to the Church of Agony (called also of All Nations) and Mary’s Tomb in the Josaphat Valley. In the afternoon, explore Mount of Zion: St. Peter in Gallicantu, David’s Tomb, the Last Supper Room (The Cenacle) and the Dormition Abbey. Then entering Zion’s Gate, walk through the Cardo Maximum and the Jewish Quarter to the Wailing Wall. Back to your hotel in Bethlehem for dinner and overnight.

March 24: OLD CITY OF JERUSALEM

After breakfast, transfer to the Lions’ Gate and enter the Old City for a visit to St. Anne Church and the Pool of Bethesda. Continue then walking through the Via Dolorosa (the Way of the Cross) to the Basilica of the Holy Sepulcher for a detailed visit to Mount Calvary, the Holy Tomb and St. Helen Chapel. In the afternoon, free time for rest and/or personal activities. It could be dedicated to walk one more time through the narrow streets of the Old City of Jerusalem. Farewell dinner at a traditional Restaurant. Overnight at your hotel.

March 25: BETHLEHEM – ALLENBY BRIDGE – MADABA-AMMAN PANORAMIC TOUR.

Breakfast at the hotel. Transfer to Allenby Bridge. Cross to Jordan and meet with your guide. Continue to Madaba for a visit to the Orthodox Church which hosts the famous mosaic map of the Holy Land from the sixth century. Ascend to Mount Nebo, from where, according to tradition, Moses saw the Promised Land. Visit the various chapels and the rests of the byzantine church. Go to Amman for a panoramic city tour of the capital of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, passing by the Citadel, the Roman Theater, the Great Mosque and the new neighborhoods. Return to our hotel in Amman. Dinner and overnight.

March 26: AMMAN – PETRA – AMMAN

Breakfast. Leave for Petra, the red-rose city, capital of the Nabatean Kingdom, excavated in the pure rock of the mountain. Walk through the Siq, a narrow passage till the Treasure Temple, the most popular monument of Petra. Continue our walk passing by the House of Justice, the Royal Tombs and the Theater. Free time for rest before we return to our hotel in Amman. Dinner and overnight.
