Oct.6: USA – VENICE

Oct. 7: VENICE

Arrival at the airport to take the flight to Venice. Arrival and transfer to the hotel. Dinner and accommodation.

Oct.8: VENICE

Breakfast. Visit to Venice, highlighting St. Mark’s Square, the Doge’s Palace, the Clock Tower, the Rialto Bridge, or the majestic St. Mark’s Basilica, where we can attend Holy Mass. Return to the hotel, dinner, and accommodation.

Oct. 9: VENICE – FLORENCE - ASSISI

Breakfast. Visit to the historic center of Florence to see places like the Cathedral of Santa Maria del Fiore, the Baptistery and the Gates of Paradise, Piazza della Signoria, the Loggia, or the Uffizi Gallery, Piazza della Repubblica, the Straw Market, or the iconic “Ponte Vecchio.” Free time. Arrival in Assisi, dinner, and accommodation.

Oct. 10: ASSISI

Breakfast. We will start with the Church of Santa Clara in Assisi, friend of St. Francis and founder of the Poor Clares, where the original cross of San Damiano is located, and where his incorrupt body can be venerated. We will visit the Roman temple of the goddess Minerva and reach the Basilica of San Francisco where his tomb is located. Celebration of Holy Mass. In the afternoon, we will visit the Porziuncola, a small church rebuilt by St. Francis. Return to the hotel, dinner, and accommodation.

Oct. 11: ASSISI – CASCIA – LANCIANO – SAN GIOVANNI ROTONDO

Breakfast. Departure to Cascia, where we can visit the Church of Santa Rita and learn about her history. Continuing to Lanciano where we will adore the first and greatest Eucharistic Miracle of the 700s. Free time. Arrival in San Giovanni Rotondo, dinner, and accommodation.

Oct. 12: SAN GIOVANNI ROTONDO

Breakfast. Visit to the Sanctuary and monastery complex. Eucharistic celebration. Father Pio, Capuchin Saint who received, among many other graces, the stigmatization of Christ. We will visit the monastery where he ministered and the new sanctuary that keeps his body exposed to the faithful. We will continue to Monte Gargano to visit the cave of the Archangel Saint Michael where, according to tradition, he appeared to the bishop of the time. Arrival in Rome and accommodation.

Oct. 13: SAN GIOVANNI ROTONDO – MONTE CASSINO - ROME

Breakfast. Departure to Montecassino where the Montecassino Abbey is located, the place where Benedict of Nursia established his first monastery, the source of the Benedictine order, and the site of several battles towards the end of World War II. We can celebrate Holy Mass. Arrival in Rome, dinner, and accommodation.

Oct. 14: ROME (CLASSICAL AND BAROQUE):

Breakfast. Visit to Classical Rome: The Church of San Pietro in Vincoli, the Colosseum and the Roman Forum, the Palatine, the Capitoline Hill and the imposing monument to Vittorio Emmanuelle II and the Trajan’s Forum. In the afternoon, we will visit Piazza Navona, Piazza della Rotonda, the Trevi Fountain, and Piazza di Spagna. Return to the hotel, dinner, and accommodation.

Oct. 15: ROME - VATICAN – PAPAL AUDIENCE (ONLY ON WEDNESDAYS)

Breakfast. Transfer to St. Peter’s Square to attend the papal audience. Free time. In the afternoon, we will visit the Vatican Museums and the Sistine Chapel, where the conclave is held to elect the successor of Peter. We will end the visit by seeing the interior of St. Peter’s Basilica. Free time. Return to the hotel, dinner, and accommodation. Notes: The Papal Audience will only take place if that day is Wednesday.

Oct. 16: CHRISTIAN ROME

Breakfast. The first stop is on the Esquiline Hill, where the Basilica of Santa Maria Maggiore is located. Continue to the Holy Stairs, the Lateran Palace, the Basilica of St. John, and the Basilica of St. Paul Outside the Walls. Lunch. In the afternoon, transfer to a catacomb. Possibility of celebrating Mass. Dinner in the popular Trastevere district. Return to the hotel and accommodation.

Oct. 17: ROME – USA

Breakfast. Transfer to the airport to take the flight back to the origin city.
